Rocky and John are joined with the “Entering the Black Hole” Podcast by Rick and Anthony. Fair warning, we get a little rambunctious! We talk about how ETBH got started, as well as, what they are doing now with their most recent hot sauce challenges. We talk about hot sauce a few times throughout the show, and Rocky forces John to try some. This episode is chaotic, but we shared a lot of laughs and packed in a lot of jokes during the interview!

They also discuss what Rick and Ant are planning in the future, including an event at Johnny’s Filling Station in Orlando on April 23rd at 6pm. We discuss the idea behind some of their segments on their show. We also get into talking about controversy, and how it should or could be handled. Backyard Sessions 13 – Trey from Swervey Jones Show & Cookin’ Up Comedy

On this 13th edition, Rocky and John have producer and host, Trey Siwek from “Swevery Jones Show” and “Cookin’ Up Comedy”! It was a real treat because for the first time, we are in our guest’s backyard, and he cooks for us! We discuss a range of things, from his experience in doing talk shows to his passion for cooking.

This episode is in 3 segments, we had a huge scary fire in the middle of us that Trey was cooking on and it just made sense to be careful and stand back! He was also making drinks for us and was easily the busiest guest we’ve had, while being on point for the conversation. His hospitality was amazing and we can not thank him enough for hosting us at his home while we hosted him on the show. Backyard Sessions 12 – Chad DeGroot

We are in the backyard again for our 12th session as John and Rocky are joined with another amazing special guest, BMX professional and shop owner Chad DeGroot! In segment one, he talks about some of his travels over the years as well as some of his projects he has worked on. Chad tells us some memorable stories of his past, and we also have some innocent conversation about TV and what some of the best days of his life have been.

In segment two, Chad messes with Rocky! Chad told John he was going to troll Rocky, so, he starts acting confused and misunderstands everything Rocky is saying on purpose. Also, there were extremely hot chicken wings as the food on this one (so there may be some choking). We can not thank the BMX professional enough for stopping by and chatting with us. Episode 11 of Backyard Sessions is featuring the multi-talented Lesley Jo! She’s a comedian/comedy host in Orlando, and a talk show host of “State of the Beer Union” and as of recently, “Tidbits”. Rocky and John bounce around quite a bit in asking their questions. Discussions included food, beer, Lesley’s perfect day, her making the change from introvert to extrovert, and obviously more!

It was a lazy day so Rocky and John ordered pizza instead of making chicken, but there was an assorted beer bucket to make up for it! Which was nothing compared to all of the beers Lesley has ever tried as she talks about her favorite kinds. She also has some insight on the comedy scene and what it’s like to be wrapped up in it. Bonus #6 – Upcoming Events, Thanksgiving & Beer

Coleman, Rocky, and John link up for another bonus episode! We say it’s number 4 but it’s actually number 6! We were on a time crunch, so we may be talking a little faster than usual. We talk about a few upcoming things such as a local annual Bike Drive, a new brewery/church that’s opening up, and Hurricane Bill’s memorial show.

We also get an update on Coleman and his distant father. Rocky tries a new beer, and lets it be known what he thinks of it. In light of Thanksgiving, it needs to be said that we appreciate having this platform to spread laughter. The friendships and bond that has grown with you the listeners has been such an amazing ride up to this point, with more to come! Simon tells John and Rocky about his professional wrestling experience, including some nice (and not so nice) interactions regarding the sports entertainment industry. Conversations also include superb fashion and certain racial tension. The discussion was extensive and covered more than this description could do justice. It’s our longest Backyard Session yet, it was fun, and we as always learn in-depth about our very special guest, CHECK IT OUT!

This one is John chattin’ and learnin’ more about his Backyard co-host. Rocky Socha moves into the guest chair and we banter at one of his favorite places, The Copper Rocket! – This bar is fantastic for food, beer, and entertainment at really affordable prices. The Copper Rocket was even featured on the television show “Bar Rescue” (season 6 episode 9), but we intend to learn more about that in a later episode.

John and Rocky talk about a number of things from the continuing up-and-coming podcast scene in Orlando, FL to what the scene looked like when Rocky began hosting 3 years ago. Discussions also include how his show “What’s the Fuss?” was formulated and the personas behind himself, Etchie, Ry, and the late Hurricane Bill. They discuss his pizza reputation in Central Florida, his transition from Georgia (where he was born) to Florida, his love for talk shows, becoming an early father, etc.

They also were celebrating Labor Day, so happy belated Labor Day! It was rainy but the Backyard still didn’t disappoint. From discussing how John and Coleman met, to whether or not they have sex dreams about each other, it is safe to say that this eighth episode of Backyard Sessions is worth a listen. John and Rocky start late in this one doing the whole show during sundown when it was pitch black, and with no breaks! They have on as a guest designer/podcaster/good-guy Ry Perry from “Disclaimers Not Apologies” and “What’s the Fuss?” Podcasts. His DNA podcast group page has swirled a lot of conversation lately, so naturally we discussed things such as the difficulty of moderating, accomplishing resolution and the point of revolution; and most importantly the main intentions behind the new political-based show.
